This large stone arch bridge crosses Honey Creek behind Linwood Cemetery in Boone.
Similar to many other bridges in the area, this stone arch features non-grouted stones. While many arches made this way hold up well with maintenance, this bridge has not been maintained.
As a result, the west end of the bridge has since become scoured and in bad condition.
Built in 1879, this bridge matches the dates of many other bridges along the line.
Overall, the bridge remains in fair to poor condition. It has been bypassed by a local trail, signifying that it will likely never carry traffic again.
The author has ranked this bridge as being moderately significant, due to the older age of the bridge.
The photo above is an overview. It can be accessed from a trail along the railbed.
